YCS Clinician Position

The Clinician works to ensure safety, connection, and well-being of the children and families served, and to offer them developmentally appropriate crisis services. Once at the site of a crisis the clinician engages the young person in crisis, provides short term counseling to de-escalate their emotional and mental state, assesses their mental state, diagnosis their risk of harm to self or others, and decide the young person’s best disposition, whether discharge to their home, school or work environment, or to an ER or outside psychiatric hospital. By providing efficient, effective and collaborative intervention during a crisis, the Mobile Response Team works to avoid the necessity of admission to a higher level of care.
