Beginning a New Chapter
Sorrel Leaf’s new website launching during Mental Health Awareness Month feels especially meaningful to me as a therapist because it reflects who Sorrel Leaf is at its core: a vibrant, one of a kind, living nonprofit rooted in whole-person healing.
Mental health is health. Yet stigma still prevents so many individuals and families from reaching out, speaking openly, or accessing support.
At Sorrel Leaf, we believe removing stigma starts with empathy, honest conversations, and reminding people they do not have to navigate life alone. Small check ins, real conversations, and community care can make a lasting difference.
Mental health has never been just about responding in moments of crisis. It is also about the everyday work of prevention, connection, advocacy, healing, and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and valued before they reach a breaking point. Mental health touches every part of our lives, and we believe care should do the same.
Our new website was created with that spirit in mind. We wanted it to feel welcoming, accessible, and reflective of the heart behind our work. Whether someone is seeking support, looking to partner with us, learning about our programs, or simply wanting to better understand our purpose, we hope this space helps people feel connected to something grounded in hope and healing.
As we continue growing, this website launch represents more than just a new online presence. It represents our commitment to creating environments where healing is holistic, culturally responsive, community centered, and rooted in dignity for every individual we serve.
During Mental Health Awareness Month and beyond, we invite our community to continue having conversations about mental health openly and without judgment. Together, we can help create a world where seeking support is viewed as strength and where healing is possible for everyone.
